Hi, I'm Edward, thanks for taking some time to get to know me here. It would be a privilege to help you or your child learn more about violin playing.
As a certified instructor in the Suzuki method, I give special focus to starting young children, and beginning/returning adults. I also work with intermediate level students who are playing in orchestra and want to improve technique. I use a holistic approach that will encourage and challenge you to develop at your own pace, as well as teaching you how to practice more effectively at home.
I've been a violinist for more than 30 years. I started with the Suzuki method, gained experience in traditional pedagogy, then returned to Suzuki as an adult player. I am dedicated to helping people avoid the frustration of bad habits and poor sound sound, so they can practice beautiful expression and develop a love for the instrument.
I maintain a private teaching studio in Greater Morristown for all ages and ability levels, and offer distance learning packages over Skype.
I studied music and art at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where I sat co-principal chair, second violin and toured internationally, as well as being featured on nationally televised concerts.
I also conduct trainings and webinar classes on creativity for businesses and professionals. Learn more at RightBrainSolutions.org.
