Edward’s Violin Studio
In The Community
Edward’s Violin Studio aspires to help our our local community through Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. Our goal is to empower people of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs and ethnicities to succeed through music.
We accomplish this through:
Integration of all socio-economic backgrounds in our programs.
Commitment to providing affordable instruction and access to equipment, technology and resources such as Wifi and internet
Expanding the "canon" (approved collection of music) to include ethnic and stylistic diversity that reflects our community. #expandthecanon
Edward is the Artistic Director of the Rhythms For Life community program in downtown Morristown, NJ, sponsored by the Morris County Links, Inc. This free after-school violin class is for BIPOC and under-resourced students in the community.
Edward is also a Teaching Artist with the Paterson Music Project, sponsored by Wharton School of Music and affiliated with El Sistema, an international strings organization for BIPOC students.
We offer a Sliding Tuition Scale up to 50% off regular tuition to encourage those with financial or other challenges to be able to receive violin lessons.
