Edward's Violin Studio will host a violin concert Sunday, December 18 at 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains.
Edward's Violin Studio is a local in-person studio serving Morris Plains, Morris Township, Morristown, NJ and surrounding areas with private lessons and group classes in the Suzuki method of violin.
Anyone thinking about starting their child in music are encouraged to attend.
"Coming to a recital is an important first step," said studio owner Edward Obermueller. "take your child so they can see other kids doing it."
The concert will showcase the Suzuki method of violin for every level and age, featuring Christmas tunes, multi-level pieces (every ability level playing together), unaccompanied Bach, a Tango, and even the "Danse Macabre" by Camille Saint-Saens, a rousing piece normally associated with Halloween.
"A little Halloween for Christmas, why not?" said Mr. Obermueller. "The students have been working diligently on their pieces throughout the Fall, and they are excited to share with the community."
Doors will open at 2:15 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, 400 Speedwell Ave.
"This is a terrific venue with great sound," said Mr. Obermueller. "It is a pleasant experience just to be in that space, and you can hear the smallest violin as though it were right next to you."
Concert will be one hour, is free and open to the public. For more information, go to EdwardsViolinStudio.com or call 201-274-5782.
